The German Lotto is the biggest and most popular lottery in Germany and draws take place twice a week on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s. Known as the ‘6 aus 49’, and being available since 1974, the German Lotto is managed by the Deutscher Lotto-und Totoblock (DLTB) which runs the German Lotto in a partnership called the Lotteriegesellschaften. Since 1974 it’s managed by the DLTB but in fact the German Lotto has been in existence since the mid 1950s.
Draws for the Lotto 6 aus 49 (German Lotto) take place twice a week, and jackpots can roll over many times if not won, meaning more exciting opportunities to become extremely wealthy are yours for the taking.

How to Play
- In total there are seven numbers that are drawn.
- Players need to first select six numbers from a pool of 1-49 which are known as the main numbers.
- There is an additional number (the seventh number) which is called the Superzahl (Super Number). This number is drawn from a selection of 0-9. The Superzahl has to be matched along with all six of the main numbers to be able to win the German Lotto jackpot.
Lower Tier Prizes
Players are able to win significant amounts on lower tier prizes, even as low as matching two main numbers plus the Superzahl.
As with other lotteries, if there is no jackpot winner the top prize will roll over to the following draw and this is where the excitement gets even more fever pitched.
German Lotto has a total of nine prize tiers which are as follows:
|Numbers Matched||Prize Tier|
|6 balls + Superball||Jackpot|
|5 balls + Superball||3rd|
|4 balls + Superball||5th|
|3 balls + Superball||7th|
|2 balls + Superball||9th|
Now is the perfect time to join the German winning spirit by purchasing a ticket into this game!
